Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer

 Hello!
I finally gave into the hype and bought myself the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer (£4.19). There's been a lot written on this, but carry on if you want to see my thoughts and before and after pictures! I got it in shade 2 (Light). The shade range is tiny.
The packaging is a simple, plain tube. The writing has already started rubbing off, which I've heard is a common problem. It comes with a doe foot sponge applicator. Collection say that this conceals flaws and blemishes for up to 16 hours: that it's an oil-free, transfer and water proof concealer with full and long lasting coverage. Does it live up to the hype?

On application, it's thick and creamy feeling. The peachy tones in it cancel out the blues under my eyes. The coverage is high, as you can see in the before and after photos above - but it is not a matte finish, it is more natural and not drying. You could always set it with powder if you fear oiliness.
I saw no creasing all day - I only tested it for seven hours though, so I'm not sure if the sixteen hour claim stacks up. My skin, especially under my eyes, tends towards the dry side, so on oilier skins it might not hold up as long, but the coverage remained without creasing and slipping. I'm incredibly impressed!
Have you tried this concealer? What are your thoughts?

  2. Which are you in Mac concealers?
Do you think shade 1 would look too white?

    1. The last time i went to get a MAC concealer I was an NW20 but I thought it was slightly too dark. Shade 1, when I tested it on me was way to pale, so if you are around my skintone I'd say Shade 2 is better, or maybe getting both and mixing if you are slightly paler. I will go get matched at a MAC counter soon so I have a shade to give people who ask! :)

    1. I know! They should really branch out, given it's popularity.

  4. I think it's a lovely concealer but I use shade 4, the deepest they have, and I find it slightly too light on my skin. I think it's great for the price but I'm on the hunt for a better one! There's just something more I need from it and I don't know what, haha useless!

  5. I've just gotten this in a recent swap I did and I'm really excited to try it out! I don't think I've heard a single negative review on it.

  6. I've got one of these from a swap and although the shade I got was too light, I figured it works well as a highlighter -- have been using it ever since!

  7. I use it as my everyday concealer and it like but I never knew about the writing coming off that is until my fingers were covered in black one day. It wasn;t a bit deal to me though and just used some damp cotton wool and took the rest of the writing off.

    1. Oh no! That's unfortunate. But yeah, I might use your method to avoid it getting all over my hands.
